Verizon iPhone: Release date may be summer-2010
Verizon iPhone? Somewhere in the mid of July iPhone will be releasing its next generation multipurpose mobile, called iPhone 4G by Apple lovers around the world. A debate on the possible improvement, that apple will be making, has already been started. Verizon Communications, as a new carrier is one of iPhone is centre of apple lover’s debate. Verizon iPhone with its CDMA service may make CDMA users around the world very happy. Apple will have their contact finished with AT & T this year, which may be a relief to most of the iPhone users for the pitiful service from AT & T.
The main reason behind the talkback on Verizon iPhone Release date.
Among all other hardware improvements, Apple will be introducing 4G service in their iPhone to give users the best experience, resulting technical changes in the specifications according to that. For video calling, one 1.3 MP camera on the Front is likely to be placed. Another 5 MP camera on the rear, with ability to shoot HD clarity Video, is predicted to be seen for using it as iPhone HD.
There may be several feature upgrades like Apple may be testing 64 GB Flash NAND Memory Module which was invented by Toshiba and fastest mobile memory architecture till date. Other few improvements which apple fans are strongly suggesting to be implemented in the upcoming Verizon iPhone or iPhone 4G are the following:
- LED Flash
- OLED Display
- Build it RFID
- Touch Sensitive Case
- Unibody Metal case
- Removable Battery
- Front camera for iChat
- Advanced GPS Navigation System, True GPS
- 3.5 mm Headphone Jack
- Built in HD Video Recording & Editing Application
- Face recognition system
Apart from Hardwire improvements, apple will be bringing Enhanced Sense UI for easier navigation, bring contact into home screen and other smaller updates. Apple will be using better processor like Dual Core and faster ram for feature rich application and multitasking capability. The features which were lacking in previous generations of iPhone like cut-copy-paste feature or like mms facility will likely to be added in this next generation of iPhone. The Sense UI of Apple which is some leaps ahead that other mobile phones of this category possibly be getting more sophisticated details, like Voice Command, video recording and editing etc features. The flexibility of Bluetooth in iPhone 3G has something disturbing, encouraging the possibility of new updated features like separate Bluetooth profile, wireless music streaming via A2DP, Bluetooth tethering etc to be added in the upcoming iPhone 4G.
While Apple is not making any official announcements about Verizon iPhone release date, they may be field testing some of the missing features in iPhone 3G which are going to be added in the iPhone 4G like
- Video calling
- Bluetooth 3.0 with AD2P
- Implementation of Bluetooth File Transfer protocol
- Support of Popular JAVA Libraries
- Use of iPhone as Storage device via USB
- FM Radio
- Ringtone Creation & Synchronization
- Multi core processing technology
Along with apple, everybody wishes their next iPhone to be omnipurpose gadget, which can do everything a phone can do now a day. Apple lovers will be waiting around the globe for what will be adding in it and what not, till there is any official announcement on the price, feature or release date of the most awaited phone of the year.
When apple first released their iPhone there was a huge hype for that phone, and while nobody is predicting anything like that will happen again, apple lovers around the world have already started making websites, blogs, and fan pages for the next release. Steve Jobs is like a magician in the world of technology, making excellent innovative ideas in their gadgets, increasing expectation from users for any next release from Apple. iPad will be releasing in the upcoming April, along with predicted announcement of iPhone 4G.
So while all the Apple fans are eagerly waiting for it, we discussed what Apple may bring into their next generation iPhone, some important features they were missing last time and some excellent improvements they can implement in iPhone 4G to abolish the possibility of any negative review from their fan or competitors.

Verizon with CDMA sounds cool but I think it’s just a rumor. Devices like iPhone does not support CDMA according to my knowledge. All we can do is to wait and watch.
I don’t understand why apple works just with AT&T and Verizon. I mean, if no one could jailbreak it, no one would buy iPhones, and then their market would collapse…
The fact is that networks simply are nowhere near capable of handling the demand. As of CDMA its used in most part of North America and some part of Asia. When it comes to high density areas then performance further decreases.
Well, even though Apple’s exclusivity with AT&T is ending I cannot see them wasting their time and resources on a Verizon phone. Verizon wants total control and profit on their proprietary network(and wouldn’t they?). I have been particularly interested in the issue of providers for the iPhone since its inception and I believe the main concern was that Verizon did not want to let Apple have control over the user experience beyond creating the handset. In other words, Verizon wouldn’t be okay with a customer buying the phone and then going home and activating it on iTunes because god forbid they can’t sell(lie/force) a boatload of stupid garbage along with the handset if the customer is at home. Or even worse, allow the app store which would have no kickback to Verizon what so ever. These things did not fit into Verizon’s business model then, and I’d be surprised if they fit in now based on how Apple again chose AT&T for the iPad’s internet connectivity. I suspect Apple will create the next iPhone to support other networks, but the question isn’t when will Apple make it happen, but more when will the network providers play by Apple’s rules.

that is not true. Yes, peole like free stuff and ‘jailbreaks’ and free apps and not having to pay but I highly doubt that the market would crash if there was no jailbreaking.
Its not cool to use Iphone with CDMA, i don’t like it.

verizon has large network, so i hope iphone will release the CDMA version.
I have an Iphone and I will not switch to Verizon regardless. Verizon is too controlling and their data plan is MORE expensive. Verizon charges the user for every little bell and whistle. I can see them loading their Verizon wrapper around the ITUNES window and other stupid stuff that is hard to remove off your computer once they put it on. I’ve been with AT&T for years and my daughter had Verizon. My daughter’s phone would not work in specific places where she visits daily. We are now on AT&T.
the question is not whether the iphone will be available for verizon, the question is when? and why wouldn’t apple want to release a CDMA version for verizon, who has 80+ million customers? Yeah Verizon likes to control everything, but they seem to be getting away from that. Look at the Android market and the droid? It is not 100% controlled by verizon. I can use any program to add music to my droid and use my computer for pictures and audio and apps and everything else i want. Why wouldn’t the Iphone work just fine with Apples App store, like android market? it all make business sense. Its what people want and they will get.
I have had Verizon for years and never had a complaint. Bought the 1st blackberry storm because I couldn’t get an iphone without signing up for the lesser AT&T. Storm is not as good but the coverage is much better. The data plan is not MORE expensive as some have said. It is $30 just like everyone I know who has the iphone. I wouldn’t care if it had Itunes or verizon’s own app store, I just want the verizon network and the iphone. I hope these rumors are true and we get it soon.
Isaac: where do you get your info? I know numerous iPhone owners and none of us use jailbreaking.
@Mridul – It isn’t possible to use a CDMA sim on a GSM phone or vice versa. It is two different technologies and as far as i know, not many phones have both GSM and CDMA inside it.
@Isaac – There is a lot more to iPhone than just jailbreaking. As you can see, the market makes millions out of people actually buying these apps.
@Everyone else – The reason why the iPhone was available only on GSM network is that AT&T is by default uses a GSM network and if you have given a carrier exclusivity, there is no point on making two types of iPhone.
I’m not getting my hopes up… I can’t leave Verizon; not because of contracts, but because they have the only network that works where I need it to work. I would LOVE to have an iPhone, but’ll just have to wait and see. I’m guessing its just hype and won’t really happen.
there is a reason to make the iPhone CDMA for verizon and it’s real simple….$$ by the millions more. Sales would be amazing.

@Artist Eyez: Verizon IS BETTER than AT&T and that is a point that cannot be disputed! People jumped ship from Verizon to AT&T only for the iPhone.
Personally I can wait for the iPhone to make its way over to Verizon, and hopefully it’s soon! I had AT&T and Sprint, both sucked: way too may dropped calls. Never, EVER had that problem with Verizon.
3 years with Verizon and going strong. My <3 is with Verizon and always will be!
Hope Apple wises up and has committed to Verizon, I guarantee they will sell millions of iPhones to Verizons current subscribers, but I can also see millions jump ship from AT&T to Verizon and getting iPhones!

I am so excited to hear the news. I will be in line to make my purchase from the apple store on the first day. Just a warning from a former AT&T customer. I purchased my iphone from AT&T instead of the Apple Store, big mistake. If Verizon is offering the iphone I will go straight to the Apple Store and make my purchase. Apple supports equipment purchased from their store much faster than if you purchased it from an authorized dealer.
Finally the one thing that the iphone lacks will be implemented: a reliable carrier! The AT&T infrastructure seems to have nothing but problems as far as dropped calls and unreliable service. A CDMA iphone will give apple exactly what it needs to exceed their past sales of the original iphone.

There are phones that have both CDMA and GSM — I’ve had them. Two of them. A Motorola and a Siemens.

It’s a great news that Verizon will release this within this summer. Verizon has a good CDMA customers they will definitely release this phone within this summer.

Oh God I hope not. I had to switch from AT&T to Verizon because all of the IPhone users jammed up the network and I couldn’t make a phone call without that call being dropped after a few minutes. Now, the Verizon network will jam up with these IPhone users and make the cell phone obsolete for making phone calls. Welcome to 2010

When I heard yesterday’s rumors, I thought “Sweet mother of 4G! We have arrived!”
I’ve been waiting for an iPhone on Verizon for almost two years now. I’m pretty Verizon-loyal due to their no-roaming charges in Canada and their general network awesomeness, but my BlackBerry curve with it’s unreliable trackball, non-functional camera, wonky apps, and general craptasticness (and this is the NEW one they gave me to replace the other one that was completely busted) is making me seriously long for an iPhone. I can wait until June or July (and I’m due for an upgrade!) but I’m not sure how much longer I can hold out!.
Summer of 2010 is quite a believable date, if I remember correctly, the previous models were all out in summer or late-spring of their release year.
