BlackBerry: Companies can track employees through software
Companies which have employees using BlackBerry devices can track them through a program called Executrac but this service will not work on Blackberry phones provided by Verizon Wireless. This is due to the fact Verizon does not let the user access the GPS inside the user’s phone.
The software costs $29.95 while the service has a cost of $19.95 per month for unlimited tracking. The advantages of this service are the fact it does not affect the functionality of the BlackBerry device and the user does not need to carry any additional GPS trackers.
Some of the benefits of this software and service include allowing the company to track its employees by receiving live and real-time GPS location updates while having Google Earth integration as well. The program can be downloaded directly from the internet and the user can view GPS location data from any internet-connected computer.
