Xbox 360 Games: Hydro Thunder Hurricane Is a Revamped Version of Kevin Costner’s “Water World”

Kevin Costner’s “Water World” has been revamped through the latest console game. This one goes by the name of Hydro Thunder Hurricane and it pits you against boat racing scenarios. There are oodles and oodles of tracks, with water all over them and your main objective is to win the race as usual.
Hydro Thunder Hurricane is all about:

• Great level designs that are also visually intriguing
• This time, the boats react and respond to your inputs, the way they are supposed to
• All events in this game are equally interesting

Well, that about sums it all up because you’d have to play the game yourself to get to know things in detail. Telling you more about this impressive boat racer will only ruin the fun and you wont feel compelled to play it.

The funny thing about Hydro Thunder Hurricane is its vast supply of Nitrous Oxide reserves in your vessel. I mean, we sure as heck have heard about NO2 powered vehicles in car racing games but implementing the same idea in this boat racer was not only funny, but also interesting. The boats just seem to fly past anything at lightning speed and it’s a great way of dousing your opponents in smoke…. Uh, I meant little watery particles!

The original installment of Hydro series was released on Playstation and Dreamcast consoles. By now, the graphics have increased significantly and there’s no stopping to being impressed by the visuals. Mostly, there is water all over you, but the way pixels are shaded here and there, developers really did a nice job.

The multiplayer game is the flagship of Hydro Thunder Hurricane because it takes record of the split second timings and displays them on the leader board, alongside the score of your foes. Sometimes it’s a shame to be at the 3rd or 4th position, but at least the way developers put it – Hydro Thunder Hurricane has its way of motivating you. It is a fun Xbox 360 game that deserves your attention.
