Death Track: Resurrection Is a Vehicular Combat Racing

2000 was the year when we witnessed the first installment of Death Track series. At that time, the game managed to strike an impact on the gamers, maybe because of then low graphics power of consoles.

I don’t know why, but suddenly, developers of Death Track thought of revamping the old game and it was definitely not a good idea. You will agree to it after going through this review. Known as Death Track: Resurrection – the game revokes the idea of vehicular combat racing.

The good part about the game is its post apocalyptic war theme, where there’s not much left in the world. Entertainment is one rare factor that folks do miss in the game’s post apocalyptic times, that’s why, once in a year; they all gather around to watch the grand combat racing tournament.

Death Track: Resurrection has:

• Nicely designed tracks with tons of shortcuts
• There’s cool post apocalyptic visual style animation and cut scenes

As much as we liked the level of difficulty of DTR, we had to disagree to its control mechanism. The overall control system is really shabby and they way things happen at lightning speed in the game, you really expect some fine movement and control to come out of it, but in vain.

I did mention that the tracks in this game consist of tons of shortcuts. You can go through the practice mode to get a taste of these shortcuts. This will allow you to have the upper edge over your in game opponents the next time you’ll log in to the multiplayer matches or the single player mode.

As usual, the vehicles are loaded with primary, secondary and rear weaponry. You need to either finish the race or take down your opponents before they get to see the light of the day. The best thing that happened to Death Track: Resurrection is that you can take aim of the environmental objects to crush your opponents or block their path.

The game isn’t recommended to pure hardcore fans of vehicle racing, but you’ll fall in love with it IF you’re more of a mediocre gamer.
