Seattle Washington USA – Wednesday, July 28, 2010 – ShutterVoice – The BP oil spill disaster in the Gulf of Mexico has been catastrophic for tens of thousands of business and workers. Like there is always two sides to a coin, and then this event is no different as it has been a boon for Seattle boat builder Kvichak Marine Industries who have received orders for 30 skimmer boats, that will be used by the clean up teams cleaning all the oil that has spread over thousand of square kilometers of ocean. The Kvichak boats will skim up to 1,000 barrels of oil a day, when built they will join the 2000 skimming boats already working on the clean up.

A spokesman for Kvichak Marine Industries  said that the order will bring in an unexpected $10 Million US Dollars in sales revenue and will not only keep the production team in work, but will also provide money to employ new workers.
