Xbox 360 Game: UFC Undisputed 2010: Feel the Burn with a Great Combat System

“So you want to be a fighter?”….Hmm, why don’t you go and hit the gym, do the sandbag and sweat off a gallon of calories? I know that’s too hard for you and this is why, you can do it the easy way – The UFC 2010 way.

The grand fighting game was released a few weeks ago and took over the market by a storm. In UFC 2010, we get to see and play our favorite UFC fighters in an all new way. The game has:

• Great combat system, which is realistic and makes you feel the burn
• An all new career mode and that is far better than previous installments
• There’s a high roster of instantly recognizable UFC Fighters

A main portion of the original UFC TV series was confined to the limits of the cage. Although, the game doesn’t really give a full backstage life of your player, but you get to see him in action, while he is training. Other than that, you can grab a couple of unlocked trading cards and do some shopping for your character. I am sure, he wouldn’t mind an extra number of tats and nice looking apparel from big brands.

The game’s AI can reward you in a lot of ways. For instance, if you’ve managed to land a few well placed blows, your character will be able to corner or push the opponent towards the cage/wall. Seeing to this advancement, the opponent is likely to cower and duck under your knees. The same thing can also go against you because once your opponent has pitched your back against the wall, there’s no stopping to those punches and kicks.

My first experience with UFC 2010 was a little out of the way because it took me a whole one hour to figure out its mechanism. As compared to previous installments, this release relies on slow character movement and realistic motion. For instance, you won’t be able to notice your character packing punches like a street fighter rag doll at lightning speed. Each player in UFC 2010 has a stamina bar, so you have to act quickly and plan your moves at the right time.

A couple of tackles can help you land the opponent to the ground so that you can further inflict pain on him. Some people say that UFC 2010 is a mixture of Def Jam and Fight Night series and I do agree to it. But it is always fun to play a new breed of fighting games on the Xbox 360 that has already been seen in its old form.
