BlackBerry: Kindle app released

Amazon, which is America’s largest online retail store with almost three times the sales revenue of second-place Staples, Inc., has released a Kindle application for BlackBerry.

The Kindle app is free and allows the users of the Blackberry mobile devices to read Amazon’s electronic books. The users can now access around 420,000 digital works from the online bookstore.

The Kindle app for the iPhone was released last year and Amazon felt it was time to do the same with RIM’s BlackBerry phones which are popular amongst businessmen.
