Make a Dark Journey with Xbox 360 Game – Metro 2033

Post apocalyptic games, always a favorite of mine and it’s all because of their rich pervasive environments, creepy creatures and interesting gameplay. Metro 2033 is one fine example of the latest visual treat that developers had to bring for next gen console fans.

The game was originally developed for PC platformers because of its benchmarking tools that go hand in hand with GeForce 4 series. However, high demand and a steady profit venture, urged developers to release it for Xbox 360 and PS3 as well.

Metro 2033 is a combination of:

• Highly detailed environments
• Immersive sound effects and life like ambience
• Clever and out of the way weapons
• Innovative gameplay

The story revolves around a character that lives in a frozen Russian city’s subway channel. It has been 20 years since the big atomic warfare and those who are left alive, live in subway and underground channels. Your journey is far from over because it pits you against mutated creatures, new adventures, heart stopping moments and aliens.

I did mention that the gameplay is quite innovative and out of the blue. For example, there’s a stage in Metro 2033, where you have to shoot down a couple of enemies, while walking around with a gas mask on your head. Depending on the number of blows suffered, you will notice cracks forming on your screen, indicating that the mask is about to break. Once it is broken, death is imminent and its just a matter of few seconds before you’ll fall down on the ground.

The game’s overall environment is clad in darkness and you have to take the aid of match sticks and lighters to show you the way. Metro 2033 is an excellent FPS and it will take you 15 to 20 hours to go for a complete play through.

Metro 2033 is for you in case you are a fan of intrepid adventures.
