Apps and more apps: when does it become too much?

Apple’s iPhone has over 100,000 apps and the list is growing. Some are beginning to wonder if the number of apps determines to a big extent which company is ahead in the continuously growing smartphones industry. The iPhone has the most apps among the smartphones but this does not explain why the iPhone is a leader in its market.

Actually the reasoning can be attributed to the opposite as selling more smartphones implies the iPhone is a successful and popular device so more apps will be created for iPhone owners to use.
