Steve Jobs is the Mobile Industry Personality of the Year

Apple chief executive Steve Jobs has been named as the Mobile Industry Personality of the Year in Barcelona, at the Mobile World Congress.

It is interesting to note that this accolade was given to Jobs despite him not being present on the occasion. In fact, Apple in entirety were absent at the convension, though a significant portion of the talk throughout has been on the iPhone.

Jobs was named as the CEO of the yeear by Fortune magazine last year in recognition of his contributions to the growth of Apple.
