PS3: Heavy Rain – the Newest Video Game

Quantic Dream’s Chief Executive David Page wanted to produce a video game on the theme of father’s love of his children. Heavy Rain is the result. Meant to be played in Sony Play station 3, its demo version which is playable was released on 11th February 2010.

In an interview with a journalist, he has mentioned that there are four main characters that are playable. The basic plot is said to be revolving around these four characters. A man like an FBI agent by the name of Norman Jeyden, Schott Shelby a retired private detective, Ethan Mars an architect, Madison Paige a journalist are all team up and try to locate a serial killer by the name of Origami Killer.

According to a demonstration given by Quantic Dream, play station 3 uses a unique control system to play the game. The work on the game has started in February 2006. In September 2009 they have released a clip showing just one scene.

Heavy rain which is written and directed by David Cage the founder of Quantic Dreams has written and directed the game using the shape and actions of an American actress. He has taken three and a half years to complete the game. Most of those who have watched the demonstrations have admitted that Heavy Rain is one of the best games of play station 3.

They appreciate the ability of creating emotional expressions of the characters embedded into it. The characters are looking just like movie stars performing in Hollywood films, according to those who have been able to view the demos.

All in all Heavy rain will be a huge attraction to the gamers, when it arrives in a short while. The play station 3 is the one which is going to profit from its high quality animations.
