Facebook: Social Networking Website keeps growing
Facebook is one of the most popular websites worldwide and is certainly the most visited social networking website ahead of the likes of MySpace. In fact while Facebook is growing, MySpace is suffering from a decline.
With the growing popularity of smartphone devices, Facebook has become a fixture on those mobile phones through applications. For instance the iPhone’s Facebook app which was released summer 2007 and after just one year had over 1.5 million people using it on a regular basis.
Google’s Android 2.0 OS also has an official app for Facebook with the Motorola Droid being one of the first to use this app. Both Nokia and RIM which is the manufacturer of the popular BlackBerry smartphone devices offer a Facebook app. Nokia offers the Facebook app on its S60 devices such as the N97.
