Vodafone chief executive Vittorio Colao fired a warning shot to fellow telecommunicaton executives, explaining that Google are becoming too big and consequently called for regulators to get involved.
Speaking at the Mobile World Congress, Colao hoped that regulators would provide the necessary means to ensure that there is more competition at all levels.
He suggested that as of now, Google and Yahoo practically control search and advertising, while maintaining that any company having “70 percent to 80 percent, maybe more” control in a particular market would need regulators to look into the situation.
