Ubisoft: Everyone Will Have 3D TV with Stereoscopic Output

Ubisoft doesn’t need any formal or informal introduction because everyone knows this company. A high ranking official at Ubisoft said that in the next 3 years, everyone who is related to hardcore gaming will have a 3D TV with stereoscopic output.

Murray Pannel – Head of the Marketing Division at Ubisoft said that at this time of the year, people are reluctant towards making any purchases for 3D TV sets. Just like HDTV, 3D will take a while to get in demand but as soon as gamers will figure out the level of graphics in next gen games, they’ll just jump towards 3D TVs.

On the contrary, other leading companies don’t really agree with Ubisoft. Alexey Stepin – An expert at X-Bit Labs, said that Ubisoft is just going for something impossible. It is more of a wishful thinking at this time because buyers haven’t even started buying HDTVs – 3D TVs just seem like a far flung idea.

According to some random surveys, Stereo 3D supporting TV sets will take a lot of time to grab 100% of the market share. But soon enough, it will happen and it has to happen, in one way or another. Gaming is never going to stop and so does the 3D content.
