Facebook 500 Million Users – 22% of All Internet

Palo Alto California – Friday, July 09, 2010 – ShutterVoice – 22 per cent of all internet users have a Facebook account. Impressive! Facebook founder and owner Mark Zuckenberg, thinks so too, but he has sights firmly set on a much larger benchmark he has in  his sights the magical barrier of One Billion Users. Most of the developing countries in the world are on his expansion radar. Countries that are being targeted for growth are India, Phillipines, Russia, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia. Facebook is blocked in China and Vietnam.

Many market expansions are being established by setting up alliances with local internet business partners. That is the way to go in Asia, where traditionally they like international companies to enter the local country market with a local partner/alliance on board.

Facebook is generating annual revenue in  excess of 1 Billion US Dollars per year.
