Asetek’s AIO Delivers High End Performance at a Low Price

Asetek is one of the leading suppliers of liquid cooling systems for PCs and today the company demonstrated how liquid cooling enables all in one PCs to deliver high end performance, while keeping a low price profile.

We tested a random Asetek’s AIO (all in one) – prototype, to check out the extent of the thermal limitations that have historically forced PC manufacturers to use more costly equipments. Bear in mind that expensive PCs don’t have a lot to do with the necessity of an expensive liquid cooling system. You can still get away with an average cooling system and a topped off PC configuration:

• Processor – Intel iCore7 – 920
• GPU – Nvidia GeForce 280GTX
• RAM – 4GB DDR3 @1066 MHz
• Display – 15 Inch

Ben Bajarin – Consumer Technology Analyst @ Creative Strategies said that you can go for Asetek’s “all in one” liquid cooling system, if you want to reduce the costs. The AIO that takes full advantage of the liquid cooling’s ability to capture and transport large amounts of heat to a location, where it can be efficiently exhausted from your system.

For example, the Asetek AIO prototype captures all the heat from your graphics card and transports it to a stand in the AIO structure. In addition, there is a small radiator and two small fans that easily remove the heat from the liquid and a pump returns the cold liquid to the main enclosure to capture additional amounts of heat – hence the cycle continues…

No you have a vivid picture of how a low price liquid cooling is able to provide PCs with high end performance.
