Adobe: iPhone users desire Flash
Currently Apple’s iPod and iPhone as well as the anticipated iPad do not run Flash despite Adobe reporting Flash is commonly used worldwide. When Apple unveiled the iPad, both Adobe and Apple have been bickering over the use and value of Flash.
With Adobe insists Flash is in demand and that around seven million iPhone users have attempted to download it, Apple seems to be dismissing the need for Flash. Adobe mentioned the number of iPhone users attempting to download Flash increased from three million in June 2009 to the seven million figure by December of last year.
Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs appears to be banking on HTML5 while dismissing Flash and claiming Adobe were lazy. The CEO claimed many of the crashes frustrating Mac users are due to Flash.
