Pocket Zoo App for iPhone and iPad allows interaction with Animals

With the huge number of Mobile applications in the market all the major developers across the globe are trying to bring in more innovative and trendy Mobile phone apps to rake in eager customers.

Mobile phone applications has totally been revolutionized with the inclusion of the likes of Apple iTunes store, which is home to thousands of applications varying in categories from lifestyles, education, entertainment and loads of other groups.

Recently, I came across a very informative and an educational oriented app developed by Tiny Hearts with the name of Pocket Zoo. The app is an interactive one with contents like animal pictures, statistics and even in some instances live camera feed from exotic zoos around the world. Pocket Zoo is basically an interactive Zoo Map which allows the user to simply interact with the animal world by just a finger swipe.

Once the app is loaded, the user just has to simply swipe the finger across the screen of their iPod touch or iPad and they can navigate the Zoo. Moreover, by just tapping the creatures of interest you can have a complete detail profile of the animal. Searching the animals archive is also very easy and by just selecting the animals from a drop-down list one can search that particular category.

The App basically offers zoological trinity of lions and tigers mainly, but if you want to view more out-of-the-box and obscure animals like the leafy sea dragons it has a provision for it as well.

Out of the 40 featured animals, 11 of them are having their own Webcams and some with more than one. For example, the tiger has 9 cameras and the user can view anyone of those.
