Cisco Systems too could not stop itself from plunging into the bandwagon of those who manufacture tablet PCs with the utmost technical features in them. Cisco Systems is hopping a lot on its Tablet PC that would use Google Android software and is targeted for business customers. The company had announced its plans during the annual customer conference in Las Vegas for the new next generation tablet PC called the Cisco Cius on Tuesday.

The Cius would be an ultra light tablet PC that would weigh around 1.15 pounds and will sport Cisco’s collaboration software applications that would merge with visual desktop applications with high-definition video applications. Few features that were revealed during the announcement are as follows – it will have front and read facing cameras for HD video conferencing and 7 inch high resolution screen for video conferencing and also it will feature Cisco’s indigenous Telepresence Video conferencing system for one click access to video conference. This will also be integrated with WebEx meeting products and other Wi-Fi and 3G cellular network.
This is a complete business oriented tablet PC and is not like Apple’s iPad. Cisco has not yet announced its pricing but the company said that this tablet PC would be available for price less than $1,000. Google Android already found its use in a number of phones and is now popular among tablet PCs.
We expect that the Cisco Cius would be a classic example of tablet PCs and would really make life smoother for businessmen.
