Kia to Switch to Alpha Numeric Car Names

Buzz is going around that Kia is the next manufacturer in the United States who is on the verge of replacing the model names with alphanumeric names. The Chairman of KIA Motors think that the alphanumeric names actually increase the strength of the brand of autos according to Automotive News. Many auto manufacturers had switched to alphanumeric names in the last few years and the move had indeed been able to increase prestige of brands.

Autoblog commented, “Kia would probably do well to study Acura’s long road from ‘Legend’ and ‘Integra’ to its current system, and Infiniti’s period of trial-and-error with its alphanumeric concoctions.” In Korea it has already started using alphanumeric systems for its sedans. For instance the car that is called Optima in the US is called K5 in Korea. Cadenza is reported to get the name K7 and Forte to be named as K3 and alike.

The auto manufacturer believes that the alphanumeric names actually catches the attention of buyers and they feel something elated in their mind while pronouncing the names in such a way rather than pronouncing a complete word which may have heavy literal meaning.

Yes, guys it must be agreed that alphanumeric names have some amount of impression for instance take the example of cars from BMW or Audi and others. They all have named their top models in such fashion.
