Biking May Help You to Stay Slim

biking-may-help-you-to-stay-slimA recent research conducted at the Harvard School of Public Health has revealed that cycling for a few minutes per day can help to control the weight. Dr. Anne Lusk said that cycling is a better exercise for helping people to lose weight compare with walking.

The study was participated by about 18,000 pre-menopausal women that are aged 25 – 42 years. The study shows that women who go biking for 5 minutes per day lose 1.5 pounds. Women who cycled for a period of 30 minutes are able to lose weight.

Dr. Lusk and her colleagues discovered that women that spent 30 minute to walk briskly every day lose about 4 pounds of weight. On the contrary, women who did not increase their walking did not gain any extra pound. Women that walk slowly also did not seem to lose any weight.  However, women that biked about 30 minutes per day are able to lose 7 pounds per day.

The discovery is an inspiration to all obese women. It reminds you to not give up because you can do something about your weight.
