Microsoft: New phone software to be released
Microsoft will be announcing a new software for mobile phones after tomorrow as the company continues to fight back against the popular iPhone by Apple and the BlackBerry phones manufactured by RIM.
Microsoft which is the world’s largest software manufacturer currently produces software for phones built by Samsung and HTC as well as other brands. Microsoft is concerned about its dwindling influence in the smartphone market for operating systems.
According to Canalys the software giant firm only had 8.8 percent of the operating system market for smartphones in 2009. This is a decrease from the previous year when it had close to 14 perecent of the market share.
