Microsoft launches Third Preview Version of IE9

The developers at the Microsoft have been working exhaustively on the new internet browser version i.e. Internet Explorer 9 for a quite some time now and recently they gave a statement in which they committed to their consumers that they will release an update for eight weeks straight for their new upcoming Internet Explorer 9 Platform. So recently, they released the third preview version of the widely used Internet Explorer 9 with an integral support for the HTML5 video and the audio format.

With the new internet browser, Microsoft has substantially increased the speed of the browser and support for large amount of web formats including the WOFF which is a Web Open Font format. On the imagery side, it includes support for Canvas Bitmap graphics standard.

Rob Mauceri, the program manager for the internet explorer 8, said in a conference call that with this update of the internet Explorer the same standards has been incorporated to ensure the enhanced performance and the hardware rendering and acceleration.

Mauceri also gave a brief insight that how the increasing speeds variant goes about on the platform. According to him, with the embedding of the latest build of the JavaScript Engine the speed of the test browser on the SunSpider JAVA script benchmark increases manifold putting IE9 ahead of Google Chrome and Firefox 3.6. Moreover, it also makes it to fall in the same league as of Apple Safari.

To showcase its compatibility with the Canvas platform, IE team at Microsoft has posted some samples on its test drive site which demos a built made in conjunction with Amazon which shows a virtual bookstore.

With internet Explorer 9 coming in its full-force all the other major key players as far as internet browsers are concerned will have to streamline their platforms making it compatible to the different standards available.
