Vodaphone announces the sale of HTC Wildfire

Vodaphone UK has today started to sell the HTC Wildfire in stores. The HTC Wildfire which is also known as the HTC Desire Mini has gone on sale from just 20 per month with a contract including 300 free minutes, unlimited SMS messages, and 500 MB of data allowance. However the phone does not have Wi-Fi features. Vodaphone have started selling this package to customers with  two year contract agreement.

The Wildfire mobile phone comes with a dated older Qualcomm MSM processor, a 3.2 inch touch screen with a 240 x 320 resolution,  and a 5 megapixel camera. It also has features such as GPS, micro SD card reader and its own social network called Friend Stream. The phone is light weight at just 118g and is easy to hold and looks good. The new social networking group is great for users of HTC who like face book, msn messenger, and yahoo messenger.

In the UK currently Vodaphone is the only network which the HTC Wildfire is available on although other UK networks plan to stock the phone in the future. Vodaphone are offering customers a better deal with the new Wildfire model than the previous model the HTC UI Sense. The contact comes with much more minutes and better rates to enjoy.

The HTC Wildfire comes close to the price of the other HTC model the HTC desire. T-mobile are competing with Vodaphone by offering the HTC desire model for just £25 per month with 600 minutes included, 500 SMS messages, and 1GB of internet. That’s only a fiver a month more for a phone that is very similar.

Samsungs Galaxy S which is also released this month will also be in competition with both these models as it offers similar features and more.

“The new HTC Wildfire sounds like a great phone but I would be tempted to go for the cheaper offer on T-Mobile.”
