iPhone OS 4.0 Quick Look

The most awaited and claimed next gen Operating System at last came into iPhone Customer’s hands as an upgrade to the existing iPhone 3G & iPhone 3GS mobiles for now, for iPad and other Apple devices customers have to wait further. The new iPhone OS 4.0 has the most wanted apps along with new surprises as follows.

Unlike the ancestors, the new iPhone OS 4.0 is embedded with MAC alike folder system called as smart folders to nicely decorate and folderize a long list of miscellaneous files. The email system is improved with follow up conversation threads and multiple Inbox facility. The text writings in mail, word or other systems are improved with an intelligent spellchecker system that will show possible grammatical & syntax errors in a red underline and will suggest correct words on tapping upon the red underline.

Apple improved the whole internet based system in the iPhone OS 4.0 including a SMS search facility, character showing upon typing facility and improved iPod playlist creation system. There are also minor improvements that can be proved useful, like the Orientation lock system that will prevent any undesired orientation change from happening.

Folders in iPhone OS 4.0

There are the most awaited two major changes, inclusion of multitasking support and the famous iBook that will give the eBook reading pleasure like taking hard copy in hand, although won’t be possible to give enough performance like the iPad for the  lack of a bigger screen. The camera software has also been enabled with Zooming & Focusing capacity up to 5x Digital.

The old iPhone and iPod Touch won’t be able to upgrade their Operating System with this new one for the unavailability of required hardwire specifications but for other Apple devices, it’s a must upgrade scenario and hopefully will enrich Apple with larger sales of their products.
