Apple iPhone 4 is now officially sold out. AT&T sold out iPhone 4 around 1:30 p.m. PDT. AT&T also confirmed this report by saying that iPhone 4 Pre Order is over and those who pre ordered would get the device on June 25 or after depending upon the time of purchase.

From now on the pre orders made in Apple Store would not be shipped till July 2. Hence users can rather buy it from Retail Stores. If you were a lucky user who pre ordered the Apple iPhone 4, you will be getting the smart phone starting from June 25. There were number of reports which revealed technical errors in AT&T website. The AT&T website had struggled to cope with the high demand and hence underwent a crash. Overall there were many processing errors, order misplacement and technical slag. Apple’s helpline was out of order and waved a custom message to the callers.
According to a report from Gizmodo, private information of customers ordering Apple iPhone 4 were also exposed in AT&T website. AT&T clarified that this was due to a major fraud update that went wrong. There were also cases where a user trying to log in to his account was taken to another user’s account in AT&T. This kind of security breach comes after Apple iPad user’s email addresses were exposed last week.
Since the user’s private information such as billing address, phone numbers, contact ids were exposed, there is a big void left by AT&T in providing adequate security to iPhone 4 buyers. Still there is no official statement regarding this issue both from Apple and AT&T.
“Apple iPhone 4 being sold out just hours after it was available for pre order just goes to show the interest that people are having in the latest Apple Smart Phone”.
