Business Cards convey the identity of the businessman and his or her business and thus represent the face of the business through the design and style of the business. There is lots of business card transactions everyday for any reputed business and unless designed attractively the card is hardly used again. Design is a marvel that can do wonders and so if chosen wisely; any business card can be remembered into the mind of anyone for a long time.
The business card design tutorial described here is a simple but unique method to engrave the style to any receiver who takes the business card as the card is designed as a Mobile SIM Card and exactly looks like a SIM card Holder that has the names and address of the business man. So this interesting design can be remembered easily and leave a good impression upon people’s mind.
To start, create a new file with 600 pix height 900 pix width with 8 bits/inch depth and using White background color in RGB settings. Then use a round rectangle Tool, keyboard shortcut U with 20 Pix Radius to draw the rectangle on the middle of the screen. Color can be chosen upon requirement, here is used #f44bb3 color set by the pain Bucket Tool of keyboard shortcut U.
Add a drop shadow as settings Distance 2 Pix and Size 16 Pix to give an outside shadow layer effect. Then add a gradient overlay on the rectangle layer from the blending options by right clicking the layer. Change the settings to #f44eb7 as primary color and #f63d90 as secondary color to add the gradient effects. Insert Bevel & Emboss settings to 100% depth, 0 Pix size and 16 Pix for giving a slight 3D look to the pink rectangle.

Step 1
This was the design of the SIM Card Holder, now it’s time to make the SIM card looks design. Make another new layer on the rectangle and draw a smaller rectangle inside the bigger one. Make color as the normal SIM card color like the color code # d8c62f to fill the rectangle by the paint bucket tool. Right click to the layer and change the blending options of Bevel and emboss.
Use 2 Pix size, 0 Pix Soften and 120 Degree Angle to create the bevel effect. To give the SIM exact color, add a gradient overlay of triplet color effect. Use #d0a744 as primary color, #fce28b as secondary and again #d0a744 as tertiary color to give appropriate effect to the SIM design. Add a stroke of 1 Pix size and #403510 colors to give a prominent outline to the SIM.

Step 2
Use a Free Transform Pen Tool, keyboard shortcut P or Lin tool, keyboard shortcut U to add firm lines on the SIM that indicated Circuit design> Add a new layer between the SIM layer and SIM holder layer to draw the lines on the SIM card. After drawing al the lines, add a bevel from the blending options of the layer with the following settings – Emboss Style, 1% Depth and 0 Pix soften. The SIM card design is now nearly complete.
Add a transparent header effect, create a new layer over the pink rectangle one, fill up half of the layer with a rectangle just over the pink one and use the paint Bucket Tool to fill the layer with white #000000 color. Change the transparency of the layer to 30% or similar to give it a cooler look.

Finished Card
Then add appropriate text on the card by using the Type Tool, keyboard shortcut T with desired font and size, here is used Cambria Bold Font with 10 Pix size to write the business name and Times New Roman with 8 pix font size to write the tagline although it can be changed according to specific requirement. Then select the large pink rectangle layer, Use the Eraser Tool, keyboard shortcut E to erase the corner of the rectangle to give it more realistic SIM card effects.
Company symbols, fonts or custom designs can be added into this Business Card to give more professional outlook according to the specific Business Requirements.
