Facebook Security Loophole

The multimillion traffic site Facebook fell into security problem again specially on a threat called “Linkjacking” that illegally takes advantage of bookmarking or liking facility of the Facebook. The top social networking site is going on a massive security protocol correction and rule change for some several days and this attack proved that the site is still potential security threat on personal profiles.

The specific attack use the facility of Facebook called “iFrame” that is used to add liking button or bookmarking button on the profile to remember a specific link or webpage. But instead of using real links, the Clickjacking is hiding itself in a different catchy link like “HD movies” or “Online FIFA Streaming” that the users love to get that facility and click that click. But instead of taking them to the instructions page, the link automatically bookmark webpage and also add the ‘Like’ function of Facebook into that webpage which is specifically designed to illegally take facility of Facebook features.

Although the Facebook Security experts are claiming that this security vulnerability is not threat to the personal security in any way possible but they are engaging themselves to close this loophole and solve the problem.

The current solution to this problem is a plug-in to be used in the Mozilla Firefox called “NoScript” that will warn the Facebook users about potential LinkJacking threat and will also provide protection to similar viruses. But installing and configuring this plug-in will also require some mid level expertise as this demand in configuring clicks on Flash Videos to ensure stopping potential clicking threats.

As for now, the Facebook security experts don’t seem to be doing a pretty good job regarding security as it was not long ago when Facebook fell into virus attack by the hackers.

We are expecting to see a better version of Facebook soon as anticipated.
