Dio died : a false rumor about Ronnie James Dio

In today’s world the blessing of technology is that everything spreads lightning fast, from virus to rumor are the side effects of a fast communication that people becomes the victim of. Same happened today, May 16^th 2010 when a false rumor about the death of Ronnie James Dio spread like fire via Wikipedia, social networking sites and chatting. It all started when a user of Wikipedia named sniper changed the biography of Dio in there and wrote the news of his death. Dio, being the artist of a popular band and lying a condition of fighting with death, s popular enough to reach this news very quick to all his fans and followers.

Rumors always get its gun powder from the inquisitive people and this time is burst very quickly as Dio was in a serious condition of Stomach cancer lying in a hospital. Blogs, news, tweets, chats, social networking sites everything flooded with this false news until Dio’s wife confirmed from hospital that Dio is still fighting and hanging in there. Dio’s wife and manager confirmed that Dio is not doing good but not passed away either and promised to update any change in Dio’s health condition.

Ronnie James Dio the famous singer well known to his contribution with bands like Black Sabbath, Rainbow and the eponymous that were huge popular amongst his fans. Even in the age of 67, Dio planned for a tour this summer for a long tour in Europe with his band which, unfortunate had to be cancelled and he had to be admitted to hospital for his Stomach Cancer. He also promised his supporters to fill them with his music soon and expressed his thanks to supporters and industry colleagues for their help in his condition.
