How to Delete Facebook account – Quit Facebook day

The market of Facebook is really going through a bad time, everyone concerned about their security, people are unsatisfied with them and a lot of privacy issues that they need to take care of. The result is the ‘Quit Facebook Day’ that has created such an impact in the user’s mind that people are even searching Google about how to delete their Facebook account forever and migrate to other social networking sites like Orkut & Hi5. The unique idea of some university students to connect everyone’s profile in a single platform that has been generated a lot of advertisement revenue, is on the downside now with the users displeased about it.

To delete Facebook Account, there are two methods. One is deactivating your account and the other is permanently deleting account that is irreversible and can’t be undone. Everything any anything related with the profile will be deleted forever upon choosing request to submit for permanent deletion. Whereas deactivating account will only stop anyone to access any data from that profile and can be undone by activating it again.

Deactivation Procedure :

  1. Go to ‘Account’ Tab on the right hand top.
  2. Choose ‘Account Settings’ from the drop down menu.
  3. Check under the main ‘Settings’ tab that comes first.
  4. On the ‘Deactivate Account’ command, click ‘deactivate’ link.
  5. Choose the radio button of options the reason for deactivating account.
  6. Write addition reason in the ‘Please explain further:’ box if needed.
  7. You may also check ‘Email opt out:’ option to stop Facebook sending any further emails.
  8. Finally, click the ‘Deactivate My Account’ button to complete the procedure.

Permanent Deletion :

There is a form in the Facebook help page that will allow to permanently deleting account.

Our suggestion is if you fall into the Quit Facebook Day craze and want to delete, try deactivating your account first.

    Sorry to say this but the data will never be deleted. It has been backed up and stored across many servers around the globe…especially the beast in Switzerland.

    Anyone who has contributed their personal details to facebook over the past four years have just taking part in a massive “1984″ CIA psyops designed & created to build a facial recognition database for big brother.     i am also trying to delete my old facebook account which is inactive
    and when people trying to find me
    that old account are appearing. so i will try this procedure
    hope it will work !
