The open battle between Adobe & Apple

Just after Adobe banned this software from using in any of Apple device and restricted the developers from developing and flash related applications for Apple, the war went public when Apple CEO Steve Jobs explained in a lengthy letter why Apple banned Flash from using with their technology. This might be the start of a big clash between two software giant but the user are the most affected for this issue, being failed to run flash software in their iPod, iPhone or iPad.

Apple claimed that flash is a closed end program with a wrong path, it lacks necessary security measure that should be contained and it performs very poorly when used in Touchscreen computers or gadgets. The quoted that flash technology is backdated to be used only with PCs and mouse but for touch sensitive applications and website buffering video, flash is rather faulty and there is much more competent file type available now, better than flash. They also mentioned using flash with their technology produces sub standard applications that don’t fit with industry leading standard set by apple. So thus they explained why they were forced to stop support for it.

On the other hand, Adobe completely denied their accusation of Flash being a closed platform and expressed their astonish that Apple found flash below standard despite it being used globally in all other mobile and portable devices since a very long time. And in reply, they changed their user agreement license for the developers that will prevent them from developing their apps for Apple products along with others. Adobe also supported flash as multi platform software that is quite capable of integrating with any touch sensitive device out in the market till now.

As long as both of them are considered, Apple is expected to bring any new file type replacing flash and Adobe has already stooped their support, but the users will be mostly suffering from file support in the popular applications and web videos.
