Gmail to have service similar to Twitter

Google is expected to release a feature similar to Twitter for its Gmail users. Twitter allows its users to include messages of up to 140 characters.

Google will integrate the new feature with Picasa and YouTube which represent Google’s image-sharing and video services. Google’s competitor Yahoo introduced a similar feature last year which allow users to read the message updates of their contacts on Yahoo Messenger and Yahoo Mail.
