Cost per click or cost per thousand impressions? Choose wisely.

In the world of paid advertising, any misguided campaign can make the advertiser lose quite a significant amount of money. Usually, there are two main types of advertising campaigns to go and these are the cost per click campaign and cost per mille (thousand) impressions.

Choosing the right one between the two is important as can prove to be advantageous to the advertiser’s campaign. So the question now is which type of campaign should an advertiser go to?

The answer lies in the type of advertisement the advertiser wishes to have. If it is to create a brand awareness or increase product awareness with the disregard of bringing the customer to a website, then by all means go for CPM campaigns. These campaigns maximize the chance of the public knowing about the product.

Cost per click on the other hand is great to those wanting to generate well targeted traffic to their website. This can be used to any other type of websites that just wants some visitors coming in to their website and buy or try their products and services.

Choose carefully between the two and if one doesn’t work well, experiment with the other until the advertiser gets the best campaign.
