Your palm as a keyboard

Have the idea of using your hand as a keyboard came across your mind? Or some other part of the body? Well if it did, then the dream is going to be true. Chris Harrison, the inventor of this system which is named as “Skinput” made the science fiction into reality. The technology is ready and waiting to be adapted by the mobile and gadget manufacturing company. The process of teaching the system to take precise input from any part of your body is quite easy, may take only 20-30 minutes time, according to Chris Harrison.

The technology basically a combination of tiny projectors which project beams on our skin. The part of the skin which will be used as input device should contain some sensors which read the movement of the skin and send acoustic signal from arm to the receiver attached with that projector. This sensor can be used with any Bluetooth enable gadget as for example mobile or PDA.

The prototype testing shows significant accuracy, over 95% and easy understanding of incoming signals, and good thing is the sensitivity is far better than any existing input device.

We will be eagerly waiting for this Skinput system to be integrated & come in our hands.

a great technology if implemented properly, though it will take much time to be used in a full fledged way :)

What a great invention. It almost looks like a quadrant keyboard of a Phone. Chris Harrison the inventor is a great scientist and he made the perfect combination of technology to invent this new one.

Along with us, mobile manufacturers will be interested too, and let’s hope we can see this very soon.

Somebody must have way to much time on their hands….ignore the pun! lol

Like mentioned previously if used right and produced properly it could be the making of better things to come!

Wow, another proof of that we’re living in the future!

It looks really cool, but I think I’ll be able to live without it, until it gets out of its infancy and used properly.
