While everybody is adapting google, ther is one exception from Motorola, dropping Google Inc’s search engine from the Android phones in china. The Zhishang device in china no longer has the Google search engine. Google’s decision may lead companies like Baidu Inc to switch rivals. Motorola’s Android phones in china may have Baidu as one of its options. The china phones will be preloaded with Microsoft’s Bing search.
Rival between Google and Motorola started when Google developed its Nexus phone. Motorola has to show that Google should cooperate to handset makers. Bertram Lai, CIMB-GK Securities said that your business may fall in china if you partner up with Google, then you’ve to search your new partner. Kathy Van Buskirk, Motorola spokeswoman said that the Android phones that are currently sold in china does not have Google’s search engine, because it don’t have license in china.
Users will be suffering for this rival, and it is to watch if any step from Motorola or Google is taken to solve this problem.
