Internet marketing boosts conversions!

A new study about online marketing reveals that messages that are informed by the browser history of the user or the search queries are very effective in triggering purchases when compared to the standard network ads. A network advertising initiative that is conducted by an economist and former director of the bureau of consumer protection at the federal trade commission of US, Howard Beales, gave a report.

According to that in 2009 the conversion rate was 6.8% for behaviorally targeted ads, when compared to the rate of run-of ads in network is 2.8%. Additionally, the average cost of behaviorally targeted messages was about  2.68 times more when compared to last year’s standard ads. Based on the figures that are got from twelve advertising companies, 19.4% of revenue in the 4th quarter of 2009 is from BT content which was 16.2% in the first quarter.

Now we will be watching who can take the juice from this research, profiting their business.
