Apple will likely release the newest version of the iphone around April of this year according to news reports emanating from Korea. The new iphone will only be available in limited quantities as Apple will likely wait till June to fully release the phone in line with its tradition.
Korea Telecom (KT) whi
ch has an exclusive deal with Apple will work to release the 4G iphone in April 2010. KT will first market and sell the products to its largest corporate clients before officially selling the phone to its local distributors in June.
The newer version of the iphone will have a removable battery, dual-core processors, OLED screen as well as live video chat. The move is seen in Korea as a way to counter Google’s own smartphone the Android. The market for smartphones in Korea has been expanding and growing with Samsung and LG now rushing to improve and enhances their line of smartphones.
