$200 tablet PCs seemed impossible, until now. Crunchpad worth $200 but not long lasting came out as $400 Joo Joo.
Freescale has now it possible at the Mobile World Congress.
Freescale revealed the MX51, a 7” tablet in multiple colours capable of running in three Operating Systems: Linux, Chromium OS, Android.
It was demoed using keyboard and mouse but touch features also exists. Chrome source says that Linux touch version was used for a demo of the same.
Exciting is the price at $200 and it is better than Apple in interface perfection and way of beauty.
In comparison to iPad, choice of input is excellent, also has connectors, inputs and ports that geeks prefer.
It cannot touch the iPad form factor or any tablet device but $200 devices running open source Linux, Chromium OS or Android may now find a place in the world of tablet which is already populated a great deal.
