There were a lot of expectations regarding a 4G ready handset from cell phone carriers like Verizon.
But now it has been reported that the first handset that works on the Verizon LTE network will come only sometime in mid-2010. Is it going to be the iPhone 5G, we don’t know! Well, this is assuming the launch of the iPhone4G this year.
There are a few indications that Verizon will offer the 5th generation iPhone.
People who had hoped to have their hands on the Verizon iPhone are likely to be disappointed, but of course, the iPhone 4G is so eagerly awaited too.
LTE, the acronym for Long Term Evolution, is the next step to fast wireless mobile data and this technology would be made available in a few markets by this year end.
The Wall Street Journal described LTE as “much needed”.
One things is sure: We definitely do not look forward for the same kind of trouble as in 3G
