Now Podcast Support Added by doubleTwist, iTunes alternative

The iTunes alternative, doubleTwist, that lets one manage photos, videos  and music, has been notably accelerating its game over the past six months or so.

The company’s integration with an Amazon-powered MP3 store in October allowed users to download and directly sync their music with the several compatible devices, like they do with the iPod/iTunes combo.

And now, doubleTwist has added a new aspect of podcast support that lends it more credence as an iTunes competitor.

Monique Farantzos , the co-founder, says that doubleTwist has developed and integrated a podcast search engine that offers twenty times the number of podcasts offered by iTunes and the ranks are as per popularity.

This novel feature is launched in windows while Mac support for podcasts would be made available sometime during the next month.
