Google is attempting to fix the coverage problem faced by its Nexus One device which has been under heavy criticism for its weak and highly unstable 3G signal.
Originally T-Mobile was believed to have blamed the inconsistencies in the 3G signal on the geographic location of the users claiming the complaining user is probably in a dead zone. However this explanation has been dismissed after other mobile phones subscribed to the T-Mobile network had 3G signal while the Nexus One users were suffering from instability in the very same geographic locations.
Google announced the problem has been investigated and a software fix is expected to be released in in the next seven days. The search engine giant which has entered the smartphone market through its Nexus One device is aware of the stiff competition it faces from Apple (iPhone) and RIM (Blackberry) for the ever growing and profitable mobile devices industry.
Google did warn the solution might not fix all or most of the problems as those who use their smartphone devices outside the 3G coverage area will not have strong signal.
