HP Windows 7 Slate & the iPad Competition
Apple’s hope to gain some attention with its iPad during the Oscar season has been dashed with HP’s plans.
It’s been known for some time that Hewlett Packard has joined hands with Microsoft to release the Windows 7 slate.
Nevertheless, HP’s plan to have the cake and also eat it has been revealed with its attack on the iPad in the process.
The new HP tablet device would operate on Windows 7 and Flash would be supported too, something that has been absent in the iPad.
With Steve Jobs wanting to promote HTML 5, the iPad may suffer for a little while, until websites start supporting HTML 5 similar to YouTube.
A complete web experience (no compromises made) can be enjoyed on the HP tablet and this might send Apple iPad a little down the ranks.
While the iPad is due for release on April 3 and its pricing are also made public, HP has not yet disclosed the date of release or the pricing, though it’s anticipated sometime later during the year.
