An interesting piece of information from Apple has been revealed. It appears like a patent has been secured by Apple aiming to introduce a ‘door-unlocking’ technology to the iPhone or the iPhone 4G on its release.

An image of the amazing patent in question has been disclosed too. It is understood from sources that by making use of this near-field technology, iPhone would be able to recognize people and provide them entry to electronic doors.

But the patent does not confine the technology to the iPhone. So there are chances that we may see this fantastic technology take shape in the iPod and iPod Touch too.
