Microsoft Office 2010 To Be Launched On May 12
Microsoft said on Monday that its office version will be launched by May 12. Microsoft has slated the release of Office 2010 on May 12 in an event scheduled already. However Microsoft has announced it only for businesses, it has not disclosed any details regarding when they would launch the Volume License Pack and Enterprise Solutions. In 2007, when Microsoft Office 2007 was launched the business users had access to it two months before. So its not come as a surprise this time around. Though Microsoft has not revealed an exact ship date of Office 2010, it is expected that Microsoft Office 2010 will be available for sale in the month of June or thereafter. The Office 2007 users will avail a free upgrade offer which lasts for 30 days after which they have to buy the product for further use.

Also a note – Microsoft Office 2010 Technology Guarantee Program is introduced. Customers who had purchased an eligible or precisely a genuine copy of Office 2007 between 5 March and 30 September will be allowed to download a corresponding edition of Office 2010 for free. The users can download if they want or can pay a small fee to get the DVD Disc.
