Google: China Minister told Google to Obey Laws to Stay

Recently, the giant search engine company Google was hacked from sources based from China. The targets for the hacking attempt were a few Gmail e-mail account users. Upset by the whole incident, Google threatened to cease all of its operations from China. The California based company also revealed plans to stop censoring all of its search engine searches from the country as well.

China’s Minister of Industry and Information Technology, Li Yizhong said that should Google wishes to continue operating in China, the company must abide by the rules in the country. This statement was given by the minister to reporters during an annual legislative meeting at the Great Hall of People.

However, the minister declined to comment on any questions regarding the Chinese government discussing with the search engine company.
