Samsung Bada – Is It an OS or an Interface?
Many people think of it as a poor thought, but Samsung has made it clear that Samsung Bada is being launched to make smartphones accessible to everyone. The 
smartphone market is still in its growing phase and Bada platform aims at improving the current situation.
Samsung has not yet revealed whether Bada is an operating system or an interface. The company has, however, said that it can be compared with Android. This statement makes Bada an operating system, but built on a Linux kernel. Samsung already has phones that support Android, Symbian, Linux and Windows, so is Bada going to take the company to a higher level?
The one restriction of Bada, as known right now, is that it is exclusively for touchscreen displays. Multi-point feature is possible though. Bada is multi-point and not multi-touch, Samsung has said on many occasions. Only time will tell if the two are the same or different.
