Google’s Acquisition of DocVerse

Google confirms the acquisition of the famous online collaborative tool DocVerse.

News of the acquisition came in December and now it is over.

There was also this rumor of the PDFMeNot acquisition. This software comes from the developer family of BugMeNot.

This Online PDF tool is actually an Australian startup. The acquisition was rumored sometime this week.

The official website of PDFMeNot gets redirected to Google docs, nobody knows why!

DocVerse makes Google apps much better by offering collaborative working platforms for the well known MS Office document files.

The functionality of Google Docs is brought to the desktop by DocVerse.

Though not free of cost, the integration with Microsoft Office is sure to be prolific.

And there is a possibility that this tool would be made free by Google.

Google says that while they continue to enhance Google Sites and Google Docs as rich collaboration tools, they are also rendering it easy for people to make a transition to the cloud, and interoperate with desktop applications like Microsoft Office.
