Verizon Wireless To Offer Microsoft Phones

Microsoft Corporation is aimed at selling two of its Mobile Phones by the end of this summer. And they have picked Verizon Wireless to sell its phones early summer.
Verizon Wireless

These Microsoft Phones will be targeting users in Social Networking Arena. These phones are developed by Microsoft under the project name pink. However the representatives of Microsoft and Verizon Wireless has declined any such moves.

In the wireless industry Microsoft is fading away, losing to its competitors like Apple, Google etc. Microsoft also sells the Sidekick phone, which is manufactured by Sharp Corporation. Though Microsoft has denied recently about any phone production and development beyond SideKick, Gizmodo reveled recently the leaked photos of Microsoft’s Pink Phones. This more or less confirms the Microsoft’s involvement in new phones and wireless industry in general.

I think that Pink wasn’t actually a device, but instead was more of a set of consumer-focused, premium mobile services.

Reports claim the phones will be made by Sharp and will have the Microsoft and Verizon Wireless brands. A Microsoft-branded phone is a new move for the company; until now, Microsoft has focused on providing the Windows Mobile software to phone manufacturers rather than selling a model under its own brand. Microsoft still intends to work closely with handset manufactures that make Windows phones and the mobile carriers that sell the phones as well.

I don’t know the Ping mobile. But Microsoft is wasting their time in mobile manufacturing.

Heheh.. I think microsoft is trying to attract female customers by using such a project name. But now a days, smart phones from Samsung are more attractive because they are concentrating on the youth.

I’m a bit concerned about Microsoft’s experience about the phone market, but they provide competition thus forcing the other manufacturers to release even better phones for as cheap as possible, and that’s always in favour of us, the end users.
