LinkedIn has signing up more than a million Australians and now the social networking company is all set to expand their operations. LinkedIn, an alternative for
facebook for the professionals, is seeking ways to effectively distribute themselves among the masses and improve the status of their revenue.
The ex managing director of Yahoo, Mr. Clifford Rosenberg, who is now with LinkedIn will manage and participate in the search for media partners. Because Australians are the prime focus here, new director has been selected and offices in and around Sydney are being established as well. The company’s revenue sources are mainly online advertisements and paid subscribers. The paid subscribers purchase seat licenses to make use of this professional service.
Mr. Clifford Rosenberg has revealed that the decision of expanding the business is primarily based on the statistics of the audience in Australia. LinkedIn has been popular in US, now is the turn for the Australians.
