Vanquish Lead Platform is the PS3

Platinum Games’ latest project is Vanquish, a slick-looking futuristic shooter which has the makings of a huge sleeper hit.

Owners of PlayStation 3 recognize Platinum for Bayonetta, which failed to do well on Sony’s machine after Sega ported it over from the Xbox 360 by Sega.

 It is understandable that PS3 fans were skeptical after this game was announced.

The PS3 happens to be the lead platform for Vanquish. When Platinum and Sega showed off their shooter at a Tokyo press conference last week, it could be seen that the game was running on Sony’s console.

Game director Shinji Mikami said that after the development began on the PC, it shifted to the PS3. Any possible version for the PC is still undecided, with the current focus being on the PS3 & 360.
